# Why sections

A site whose sidebar lists everything asks a reader to find their place in it.
Sections put one part of the site in the pane at a time, and the top bar is
where the other parts are.

This page is in the same section as the fixture's landing page, and that
section declared `sidebar: false`, so this page has no pane either: the
sections are in the bar above, and in the section dropdown on a narrow screen.
